This can be done in one step, and costs less than $20 a year. Joining Pickleball Canada/ Pickleball Newfoundland & Labrador will get you registered and in the loop on everything pickleball happening around the province. It's even a requirement to be registered to play in many programs, leagues, etc.
Pickleball has a few unique rules, and the scoring is different than a lot of other sports... we always recommend new players take a short "Learn to Play" clinic to learn how to play, before jumping into organized games or programs offered across the city. Check out intro clinics offer by Rally & Tap Pickleball, 709 Pickleball or other great coaches around the city.
This one can be tough, as joining the Avalon's only official Pickleball Canada sanctioned club is often sold out, but if you can get a spot, or join the mailing list for East Coast Rock Pickleball Club, they are the friendliest, and most fun group of pickleballers around. Once a year in January, they open the doors for more members to join on an annual basis. The cost to join a club is also less than $20 a year.
